Summer 2024
Might fuck around and live up to my full potential. I moved out of the suburbs and back into my suitcase. I currently write this from my penthouse apartment in Tulum on September 2nd, with a new moon in Virgo. Seems I have neglected the blog all summer in exchange for starting a YouTube v-log, which I am having a lot of fun with. Check it out here. July was a wonderful month full of socializing and seeing all my friends in one place; friends from Toronto, Montreal, Windsor and Dubai were all visiting and a short drive away. It was a blessed month of love and laughter.
August was a different beast. Leo season came roaring in and I was ready to make moves. The suburbs remind me of a life I never signed up for…a life with perfectly manicured lawns and freshly paved driveways, a life with children and soccer meets. Once a month I would question my life choices, maybe I DO want this life, but if I really did I would have had it by now. I always get what I want so obviously I don’t want that. I want adventure and a little uncertainty. I want something…else. I guess I am out here chasing that dragon.
Mid August I set off for West Palm Beach Florida, the devil’s taint. It was so hot. Sweltering. Tony likes to keep his convention centre super cold, so the temperature changes were extreme. I went with my best friend Danny and I am so glad I did, we had a blast. Business Mastery was a five day business bootcamp. The days were long, 10-16hrs give or take. The keynote speakers were excellent, I took so many notes! Here is the list of guru’s that shared their knowledge with us: (Day 1) David Meermann Scott. (Day 2) Keith Cunningham, Tom Zgainer, Peter Mallouk, (Day 3) Tyler McBroom, Todd Hartley, Don Miller, (Day 4) Dan Martell and Dean Graziosi. Then Tony interviewed a panel of three entrepreneurs: Ben Lamm, Christina Stembel, and Mike Cessarrio. Everyone was inspiring and I couldn’t write my notes down fast enough. The future is so exciting.
Danny and I spent an extra day after the convention to chill and integrate. I couldn’t imagine traveling after all of that, my brain was still trying to catch up. The following day we flew out of Fort Lauderdale to Cancun and from Cancun to Tulum. Danny got sick immediately and I was ready to take over the world. My brain hadn’t stopped and I couldn’t stop thinking about all the exciting things I wanted to create. I couldn’t stop thinking about all the ways I can add value into the world as a creative entrepreneur. I joined the local gym and started working out like I hadn’t just taken a full week off. I ate minimally because for some reason I didn’t have an appetite. After about of week of this my body said, no more, chill babe. I got sick. I never get sick so I took this as a sign to slow the f down. Food was flushing through me. My head was pounding and I was exhausted. After one day of this and one awful night of no breathing I went to the local pharmacy (they are everywhere here) and utilized my Spanish skills by saying, “Yo estoy mal, aqui” and pointed to my throat. Nailed it. I bought cold medication and throat lozenges. I slowly came back to life the next day. Danny and I got a scooter and we have been scooting around finding the best fruit at the local fruit stands. Getting a scooter here is essential.
Today is the new moon in Virgo and it has me organizing my life again…writing this blog, editing my website, dealing with my financials, sending emails, and doing all those mundane tasks. I am here in Tulum for the next three weeks and I plan on following through with my routine of self care mornings: lymph drainage, walk to the gym, crush a work out, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, matcha protein drink, and whatever healthy meal I decide to whip up for myself. Early afternoon is spent working on my latest mission…to help self employed creatives build financial freedom so they can thrive and live in abundance the way that I do…and then I head to the beach to work on my gorgeous tan. Not too bad, if I do say so myself.
